About Me
With over 17 years of experience as a therapist, I can honestly say that helping people through their healing journey is not just my profession - it is my passion. I specialize in working with individuals struggling with trauma, substance use, depression, anxiety, perfectionism and self-confidence. My approach is client-centered and collaborative, meaning we’ll work together to uncover your strengths, insights and solutions. My goal is to offer you compassionate support, paired with the expertise you need, in an environment where you feel genuinely understood.
Many of my clients have expressed how much they appreciate the warmth and empathy I bring to our sessions, and I strive to make sure you feel safe and truly heard as we work toward your goals. At times, when it’s needed or desired, my style can be more direct - offering honest, constructive feedback while still maintaining empathy and support. I believe that a clear and compassionate approach can empower you to face challenges and help create the meaningful, lasting changes you’ve been seeking. If that’s your goal, you’ve come the right place.
I’ve had the privilege of working in diverse settings, from outpatient counseling to inpatient psychiatric hospitals and on military bases. Having worked extensively with the military, veteran, and first responders, I understand the unique stressors they face. I have also spent time working in a residential substance abuse treatment center, where I gained deep insights into the complexities of addiction and its connection to trauma.
When I’m not seeing clients, you’ll likely find me running, spending time with friends or enjoying quality time with my family and our two dogs. And if you’re an animal lover like me, know that your pets are always welcome to make a cameo in our telehealth session!
